The Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA), was established through the Tourism and Hospitality Act No.13 of 2015. Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA), is mandated to effectively market and promote Zambia as a tourism destination of choice and to regulate the tourism industry. The ZTA is headed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who reports to a Board of Directors. The Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) us a statutory body under the Ministry of Tourism.

In addition to its marketing function, the Zambia Tourism Agency is responsible for regulating the tourism industry through licensing and grading of accommodation establishments.
