Lusaka National Park

Lusaka National Park (LUN Park), located about 46 Km2 in extent, is situated south-east of Lusaka City of Lusaka Province, about 30Km south­ east of the City’s Central Business District. It is the 20th National Park in Zambia, created in 2008 and gazetted in 2011 after degazetting two adjoining forest reserves number 26 and 55, and opened to the public in June 2015. It is also the 2nd park established near an urban area after Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park

The park has relatively spectacular landscape and wildlife habitat. So far more than 22 different species of wild ani­mals totalling over 500 have been introduced in the Park. While on your game drive, you will definitely not miss these among others Zebra, White Rhino, Wildebeest, Eland, Sable, Nyala, Impala and Giraffe
